GEVAC at 2015 PTC ASIA exhibition

The PTC Asia exhibition, one of the most important fairs in the Asia Pacific region that attracts every year the top global companies in the Power Transmission and Control sector, was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in October 2015.

Among the many industry top players there was also GEVAC, Italian company leader in Europe in the manufacturing of industrial vacuum pumps.

Poseidon China, as GEVAC’s APAC Exclusive Representative and partner, provided on site logistical and organizational support, coordinating directly the event preparation and the on site daily management.

In particular, Poseidon China was in charge of the preparation of the commercial material as well as of finding the best logistic solutions to ship display products from Italy to Shanghai. This included coordinating the Free Trade Zone warehouse storage and handling, the transportation in and out of the exhibition grounds and all the logistical related issues.

Furthermore, Poseidon China also directly organized and managed all the relations with the parties involved in order to ensure a smooth event, from ICE (Italian Trade Agency) to the PTC Asia exhibition organizers down to the dedicated display booth set up team.

Poseidon China’s efficiency and constant support to GEVAC’s needs in every step of the way has ensured that, whenever logistical issues arose, whether during the transport or the display area arrangement, they were quickly resolved in GEVAC’s favor with significant financial savings and even with a reimbursement for technical problems happened during the booth set up in the days leading up to the exhibition.

Even more crucial was Poseidon China’s effort of setting up more than 20 face to face meetings between several important local dealers and GEVAC’s top management during the exhibition. The meetings, held in a private and reserved space with bilingual interpreter support, have been fundamental to establish commercial relations with key actors in the market and to lay the foundations to further expand GEVAC’s commercial network in China.

Such results have been reached thanks to the extensive cross cultural and professional skills of Poseidon China’s Team.

Poseidon China’s support to GEVAC continues now by developing further the many contacts acquired during the exhibition and by maintaining and improving GEVAC’s relationships with its new Chinese partners.
